Benjamin EcksteinBenjamin August Eckstein was born on April 21, 2006, the middle brother of the triplets at Paoli Hospital in Pennsylvania. Benjamin and his triplet brothers Alexander and Caleb took home the award for being the first set of triplets born at that particular hospital, and from there the family found themselves being interviewed about the boys by local media outlets.
Benjamin along with brothers Alexander and Caleb took over the role of Spike Lavery on ABC's All My Children in spring 2007 and Ben was the first of his brothers to film a scene for show. Right away they were involved in one of the show's big summer storylines where Spike was involved in a car crash and it is later discovered he is deaf. The boys saw a lot of airtime in the summer months playing out the storyline alongside talents such as Cameron Mathison (Dancing with the Stars, EXTRA) and the Queen of Daytime herself Susan Lucci. January 2010 marked the last episode for Ben and his brothers playing Spike as the show began filming in Los Angeles.
Outside of the soap Ben and his family were seen in a series of commercials for Diaper Genie and he and his triplet brothers appeared in an episode of Ugly Betty. They also booked a recurring role on Boardwalk Empire as Sonny Capone which saw Ben filming a tough and heartbreaking scene where Sonny's father forces him to learn how to fight. At six years old Ben already understood that it was just for the TV Show and knew that Stephen Graham was really a nice guy, he was just acting with him in the scene.
These days Ben is actively involved in sports. If he isn't out on the football field he is inside the gym for a wrestling match. He still is the comedian of the family, entertaining his parents and siblings all the time.
